Donald Sterling Sues V. Stiviano, TMZ over Leaked Audio Recordings

Former Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling isn't through with the controversy that led to his abrupt departure from the NBA franchise.

According to a TMZ report Monday, Sterling is suing his former mistress, V. Stiviano, and TMZ for leaking the recording of a conversation he had with Stiviano in which he made racist comments.

Sterling asserts he has been damaged "on a scale of unparalleled and unprecedented magnitude" because of what's happened after his private remarks were made public. The infamous audio of the Sterling-Stiviano exchange triggered the sequence of events that led to Sterling losing the Clippers and receiving a lifetime ban from the NBA.

This is yet another turn in an ugly saga that doesn't seem like it will end anytime soon. Stiviano has already been ordered to pay back Shelly Sterling more than $2.6 million in gifts as part of a separate court case. Donald Sterling also filed for divorce from his wife last week.     

The sale of the Clippers to ex-Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer was finalized last August after a judge upheld the removal of Donald Sterling from a family trust.
