Eric Gordon Injury: Updates on Pelicans Guard’s Finger and Return

The New Orleans Pelicans announced guard Eric Gordon re-broke the finger that sidelined him for 16 games earlier this season against the Utah Jazz on Saturday. It is uncertain if he will be able to return this season.

Gentry Comments on Gordon's Injury Sunday, March 6 "I don't know for sure what happened, but it looks like he might have done the same thing again," Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry said, per ESPN.com's Justin Verrier.

"And that would be unfortunate because he worked so hard to get back. I thought he was really playing really good basketball," Gentry added. "For that to happen to him again, if it's gonna be six to eight weeks—and I'm just speculating right now, I don't know that for sure—but if that's gonna be the case, it pretty much takes him until the end of the season."

Gordon Unable to Shake Injury Bug Gordon, 27, is averaging 15.2 points, 2.7 assists and one steal per game for the Pelicans this season. But injuries have again derailed the talented guard.
