Erik Spoelstra: I Love You, but You’re Not Big Enough To Run the Heat

I've seen enough of the NBA to have an idea about how things work.

For starters, only star coaches can coach star players. Erik Spoelstra is a good coach who could probably take a young team and make them a playoff contender for years to come. But he is not big enough to coach Wade, Bosh, and King James.

There are only a few coaches who can run teams with superstars and make them listen. Phil Jackson is one of them and so is Pat Riley.

Pat Riley has to coach the Heat because he'll make it work, because the superstars will listen.

Erik Spoelstra needs to make a real name for himself and win with stars, rookies and selfless veterans. Then he can command star players.

I don't agree with my observation of the NBA, and I believe as a Heat fan that they should get their s*** together and start winning together.
