During the 2007-08 season, three players for the Golden State Warriors—Baron Davis, Monta Ellis, and Stephen Jackson—each averaged at least 20 points per game, definitely an impressive accomplishment.
However, it had been done before, coincidentally by another Warriors trio back in 1990-91, known as "Run TMC."
This high-scoring trio consisted of possible future Hall of Famers T im Hardaway, M itch Richmond, and C hris Mullin, all of whom finished in the NBA's top 11 in scoring.
Each member of the group brought something different to the Warriors' lineup.
Hardaway was the flashy point guard who would make defenders dizzy with his famous "killer crossover," Richmond was the slashing, fast break-finishing two-guard, and Mullin was the lights-out shooting small forward who could give you 25 points a night.
Since Run TMC never managed to win a title or even reach the finals during their two seasons together, they're usually never considered to be one of the league's greatest trios, but nonetheless, they were pure entertainment in the early '90s.
