Golden State Warriors’ Struggles Continue, Something’s Gotta Give

Golden State Warriors coach Don Nelson is tired of his team's ongoing ineptitude, a streak that has been tedious to watch for numerous consecutive campaigns.

Nelson is approaching Lenny Wilkin's all-time record for career wins but may not attain that number this season. He is under contract through next season and would garner that record unless the Warriors digressed and had a season as the New Jersey Nets have endured this year.

Monta Ellis is hurt at present and has no desire to continue in this regime. Corey Maggette is one other piece that could be moved before the Thursday deadline. Talks have heated up about the team vying for Zydrunas Ilgauskas, the fairly effective, sometimes lumbering, center of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Inquiries have come from the Warriors also regarding Utah Jazz center Mehmet Okur.

General manager, Larry Riley stated, "He has a few balls in the air but probably will not accomplish a trade." The Warriors do not have a lot to offer and would prefer a contract that is not expiring. Though populated and supported by some of the best fans in the game, who wants to play on this current team?
