Behind a huge fourth quarter from shooting guard Klay Thompson, the Golden State Warriors (37-24) upset the Eastern Conference-leading Indiana Pacers (46-14) by a final score of 98-96 on Tuesday.
Thompson scored 16 of his team-high 25 points in the fourth, including a game-winning fadeaway over George Hill with 0.6 seconds left.
His late heroics were desperately needed, as the Pacers had completely erased a double-digit, fourth quarter lead.
Thompson's backcourt mate Stephen Curry added 19 points for the Warriors. Harrison Barnes and Draymond Green each pitched in 10 off the bench.
For the Pacers, David West and Paul George combined for 53 points. But George struggled from the field, going 8-of-23.
The team as a whole struggled with consistency, as they shot just 41.9 percent from the field and 18.8 percent from three-point range.
