I don’t know what it is, but watching Bob Licht’s one-on-one interview with Chris Paul really made me get a good sense at where Chris Paul is at. Obviously he said all the right things, but listening to his tone, watching his body language, you really feel his sense of urgency.
Now none of this is certain, for all I know Chris could be anywhere mentally. But if you watch the interview look at his reactions to some of the questions.

Paul basically laughed it off, but you could see the frustration of it. He seemed sick of the questions and wants to move on to other things. However I don’t think he could’ve not expected these questions to come up. Essentially without Paul this team is competing with Cleveland and Minnesota for the number one pick in the draft.
