Just a couple of days ago, star point guard Walter Offutt said he is "50-50" on the decision of him playing on the Ohio State or Indiana Univeristy basketball program.
Offut's mom checked on his financial aid package on her meeting at IU on Thursday. She says the meeting went well.
Offutt played at Ohio State last year after he was recruited by John Groce. Things changed when Indiana offered him a scholarship and now Ohio has.
That is what makes it a 50-50 decision.
The 6'3" Offutt was a Top-100 recruit out of high-school, as he was a star player at Warren Central High School.
"Ohio was always right there, but they didn't have a scholarship," Offutt told the Indianapolis Star "One opened up and now it's really 50-50. As far as walking on at IU, things look really good from the financial part.
"But Ohio's offering a full ride, and as far as my relationship with John Groce, player-coach relationships don't get any better than me and John Groce."
