Jahlil Okafor Injury: Updates on 76ers Star’s Knee and Return

Philadelphia 76ers center Jahlil Okafor is dealing with a sore right knee that could hinder his availability once the regular season gets underway.

Okafor Uncertain for Friday's Preseason Game Wednesday, Oct. 14 According to the Philadelphia Daily News' Bob Cooney, Okafor has fallen behind on conditioning due to the knee injury, which means the big man may not be able to play his full complement of minutes when the team tips off regular-season play against the Boston Celtics on Oct. 28. 

If there's good news for the Sixers it's that, according to Cooney, Okafor believes the injury is "minor."

Philadelphia selected Okafor with the third pick in the 2015 NBA draft, opting to take the best talent available in lieu of filling a pressing need at point guard.
