Philadelphia 76ers forward Jerami Grant has been fined $10,000 by the NBA for throwing a water bottle in the stands against the Washington Wizards on Feb. 29.
The NBA confirmed Grant's fine in an official press release on Thursday.
The incident occurred about midway through the fourth quarter of Philadelphia's 116-108 loss on Monday. It was a forgettable blemish for Grant in what has been an otherwise solid season for the second-year player.
Philadelphia has many problems right now, owning an 8-53 record, but Grant is performing well by 76ers standards. His shooting percentage has increased by nearly nine points this season, up to 44.0, and his playing time has increased.
After primarily coming off the bench as a rookie, Grant has started 34 games this season and has broken the 30-minute barrier in each of his last three appearances as Jahlil Okafor continues to nurse an injured shin.
