Jodie Meeks Injury: Updates on Pistons Guard’s Foot and Return

Detroit Pistons shooting guard Jodie Meeks suffered a fracture right foot in the second quarter of Wednesday's game against the Utah Jazz, per MLive.com's Aaron McMann.

Meeks' Timetable for Return Yet to Be Determined Thursday, Oct. 29 "We'll get further assessment and know better on a timetable in the next couple of days," Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy said following the game, according to McMann. "But they, they X-rayed him, he's got a Jones fracture."

Jones fractures became a part of the NBA lexicon last season after Kevin Durant suffered one, so this certainly isn't good news for Meeks, who's been plagued by injuries since the start of the 2014-15 campaign.

Meeks' debut was delayed until Dec. 12 due to a back injury a year ago, but he shot just 34.9 percent from three—the worst mark since his rookie year—after returning. 

"You feel bad for the guy," Van Gundy said, per McMann. "Last year, it's the first exhibition game. He plays one exhibition game and he goes out."
