I know he's only played in five college basketball games, but University of Kentucky freshman John Wall appears to be the "next big thing."
The 6'4" point guard is currently averaging 19.8 points, 6.6 assists, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.8 steals per game.
It's very likely he will enter the 2010 NBA Draft as most experts have had him going No. 1 overall before he even stepped foot onto a college court.
Right now, the teams with the best chance of landing Wall this summer include the New Jersey Nets, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Utah Jazz (via the New York Knicks).
Of course, that order can change, since it's still early in the season.
If the Nets come away with the top pick, will they draft Wall even though they already have an All-Star point guard in Devin Harris?
Would they simply move Harris to 2-guard and start Wall at the point? Now that's a scary backcourt to rebuild a team around.
And just think if Jay-Z and co. are able to bring LeBron James to town. The Nets could very well go from dreadful lottery team to playoff team over night.
