Kevin Seraphin to Knicks: Latest Contract Details, Comments and Reaction

As teams across the NBA round out their rosters with rotational contributors, Kevin Seraphin has reportedly come to terms with the New York Knicks on a one-year deal Tuesday. 


According to Michael Scotto of Sheridan Hoops, the Frenchman will make $2.8 million during the 2015-16 campaign. ESPN's Brian Windhorst has since confirmed the signing.

Securing Seraphin gives the Knicks even more depth at center after acquiring Robin Lopez and Kyle O'Quinn this offseason.

Tommy Beer of Basketball Insiders is particularly impressed with the move from New York's perspective:



According to Basketball-Reference.com, Seraphin spent 87 percent of his minutes at center last season, which has always been his most natural position due to his offensive limitations. 

Although he's just 6'9", Seraphin has long been confined to working primarily below the free-throw line. According to Basketball-Reference, 62.2 percent of his total shots came inside of 10 feet last season.
