World Peace to Replace Bryant in Lakers Lineup

This is set to be Bryant's 15th missed game of the season.
In what is his final season in the NBA, the 20-year veteran has experienced a difficult time. He's averaging 16.8 points a game on 35.6 percent shooting, which is on pace to be the lowest percentage of his legendary career. He's also making just 27.5 percent of his attempts from three-point range.
News of his injury doesn't come as a big surprise after the Los Angeles Times' Mike Bresnahan reported earlier in the day the Lakers planned to rest their star guard. Somewhat more shocking is that Metta World Peace will get the start in Kobe's place, telling reporters, "It's my first start at home."
World Peace has appeared in 25 games this year, averaging 4.4 points and 2.6 rebounds a night. This will be just his fourth start in 2015-16.
