Larry Brown Reportedly Contacted by Nets and Sixers About Head-Coaching Job

With several NBA head-coaching positions still up for grabs, there’s no shortage of rumors linking teams to potential candidates—even those from the college ranks.

According to Adam Zagoria of ZagsBlog.com, as many as three teams have contacted SMU head coach Larry Brown about a return to the NBA ranks, including the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers:

The Brooklyn Nets and the Philadelphia 76ers have both “contacted” SMU coach Larry Brown about their coaching openings, a source close to Brown told SNY.tv.

The source said a third team, possibly the Los Angeles Clippers, has also reached out to Brown, 72. The source requested anonymity because he is not authorized to speak publicly for Brown.

With Brooklyn said to be in pursuit of Indiana Pacers associate head coach Brian Shaw (among others) according to ESPN, it comes as no surprise the team is doing its due diligence in exploring every option.
