So, this is my first article on Bleacher Report, but I would still like to start with apologies.
First, I would like to apologize to Michael Jordan. That is, Bulls Michael. Wizards Michael will not be considered during this article. He was the best player of his time, and right now, he is widely considered the best basketball player in history. As of the end of 2010, this is true.
Second, I would like to apologize to my childhood self. For a kid who had multiple MJ jerseys, held his tongue out and broke his Space Jam Nerf Hoop imitating Jordan's dunks, it is tough to admit that, within the next decade, Jordan may no longer be considered history's best.
Finally, I would like to apologize to Dwyane Wade. While I respect him as a superstar, his acceptance of a super-Pippen role will allow LeBron to overtake Jordan. Not many athletes want to take a back seat, and it will be even tougher for someone who has been the No. 1 option since middle school. If he handles this, LeBron may do the unthinkable: upend Michael Jordan.
