Over the past few years, San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich has been extremely careful with how much he's played his aging veterans—perhaps none more so than guard Manu Ginobili.
Despite taking those extra precautions, the Argentine star was unable to avoid the injury bug as he is dealing with an adductor strain.

Ginobili Out Saturday vs. 76ers

As announced by the Spurs, the 38-year-old veteran will not suit up for Saturday's clash with the winless Philadelphia 76ers due to an adductor strain.
Ginobili is off to strong start this season in a bench role as he is averaging 11 points in 20 minutes per contest.
It's tough to say how much Ginobili's injury will truly affect the Spurs on the court. He long ago ceased being an every-night starter, making a combined 10 starts over the last four years.
Aging has also robbed Ginobili of some of the dynamism he had earlier in his career.
With that said, the ability to bring such an experienced veteran scorer off of the bench is a major luxury for San Antonio.
