Phoenix Suns forward Markieff Morris left Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers after suffering a knee sprain, per Paul Coro of AZCentral.com.

Morris Ruled Out for Rest of Game Thursday, Nov. 12 Morris left the court in the first half of Thursday's game after suffering the knee injury, per Coro. The team then ruled him out for the remainder of the contest.

The fifth-year pro's season has been mired in controversy, especially regarding his relationship with the Suns. After Phoenix shipped his twin brother, Marcus, to the Detroit Pistons over the summer, Markieff publicly requested a trade. The NBA fined him $10,000 for the outburst.

Most expected the situation to resolve itself before the season, but camp came and went with Morris still on the roster.

 “It is what it is. He’s at work. I’m at work. Same thing," Morris said in October, per Coro.
