It turns out that the dream of seeing Marshall Henderson, DeMarcus Cousins and Rajon Rondo all on the same court in an NBA regular season game will be just that. The Sacramento Kings confirmed Thursday that they waived Henderson.
The chances that Henderson would make the Kings' final roster always seemed slim. Especially with such an emphasis on efficiency in today's NBA, a guy who attempted nearly 13 three-pointers a game and shot 35.3 percent from the field in his final college season might have a hard time catching on in the league.
Henderson certainly earned many admirers during his time at Ole Miss as a result of his cocky demeanor and willingness to shoot from anywhere inside of 40 feet from the basket.

Henderson played just two-and-a-half minutes for the Kings in the preseason, and judging by the way he lost track of Ben McLemore on this alley-oop (h/t Sacramento Kings), he wasn't making a strong case on the practice court to head coach George Karl that he deserved a roster spot:
