Matthew Dellavedova Injury: Updates on Cavaliers PG’s Calf and Return

The Cleveland Cavaliers' point guard depth is running incredibly thin following a calf injury suffered by backup Matthew Dellavedova.

Dellavedova Could Miss Multiple Games Wednesday, Nov. 25 Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reported the point guard will not play Wednesday against the Toronto Raptors, although there is no determination on whether he will take the court Friday against the Charlotte Hornets.

Dellavedova was re-signed in July to account for oft-injured superstar Kyrie Irving.

He was doing just that before this setback and had been filling the gaping void left early in the season by Irving's knee injury—a similar theme dating back to last year’s NBA Finals defeat.

Irving was lost for the Finals in Game 1, leaving the load to Dellavedova, who averaged nine points, 2.6 assists and three rebounds in 36.3 minutes over the remaining five games.
