The free agent class this summer has been one of the best in sports history. Players such as Dirk Nowitzki, Amar'e Stoudemire, and Carlos Boozer were big targets, but the best in this class were LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh.
All three are very talented and their lust for winning got them together to a conclusion that they should play together. They now stand as immediate contenders and a chance to make history as being among the best teams in NBA lore. But could this trio bring the NBA good fortune or just another mistake?
Well, the history of the NBA is full of trios that brought their team titles. But those trios weren't nearly as good as the Miami Heat's. But Miami might not have the same success as other trios did because of their lack of depth.
Other teams that have had three all-stars on their team had some depth, such as the Chicago Bulls in the '90s when they had Jordan, Pippen, and Rodman. But they also had other role players in Steve Kerr and Toni Kukoc, who were able to step up when needed.
