Really?
This doesn’t grab my attention at all. Casual NBA fans can probably only remember Williams because of his run with Arizona, and for that reason alone, this dunk contest will be absolutely awful.
Could they surprise the fans by being creative with their attempts? Absolutely. But why should fans care about this?
The dunk contest is pretty much watered down because of the lack of originality to begin with, but it helps when the participants are more known than these characters.
Instead we get a guy who averages 1.7 points per game, a former volleyball player and a guy with two first names? I’m joking, of course, but not really, if you think about it.
I see Williams or George being the person who takes the contest, but I want to see something from stars. These guys aren’t stars in the NBA.
This is NBA All-Star weekend, and we get to see this? What a shame.
