I really don't need to say much. If you've watched any ESPN, NBA Network, or any Thunder basketball game, you can read the headline and agree.
Nobody is truly more valuable to their team than Kevin Durant. Absolutely nobody.
So why is he only third in most sites ranking for the MVP race? I'd love to know the answer.
Sure, LeBron is having another "LeBron" year. But he has a great cast around him that can shoot the ball well and win games if and when LeBron ever gets hurt.
The Thunder's offense is basically set up for Kevin Durant. Their second and third top scorers combined don't equal Durant's PPG. You read that right.
Russell Westbrook runs the offense in way of trying to get players attention by driving to the basket to get Durant any kind of space at all.
Over his 25 game streak with 25 points or more, the Thunder are 17-8. If he does well, the Thunder have a great shot at winning the game. If not, might as well pack the bags and head out the door. It's not a pretty game.
