NBA Playoffs 2012: Why 76ers Have No Chance Against Boston’s Savvy Veterans

For the Boston Celtics and their seasoned veterans the second round of the NBA Playoffs are as routine as brushing their teeth. For the young Philadelphia 76ers, this is completely new territory. Sadly, the youth explosion in the City of Brotherly Love has no chance against the experience in Beantown. 

The Sixers were barely able to get by a Chicago Bulls team that lost its two best players and featured an injured Luol Deng. Philadelphia should have destroyed this depleted squad. 

They did move on with a 4-2 series victory, but needed close calls and down-to-the-wire finishes in order to advance. 

Andre Iguodala and his squad showed promise and were on cloud nine after beating the Bulls. 

The Boston Celtics should knock them back down to earth. 

The Celtics have not lost at home throughout these playoffs and they won’t start now. Racing out to a 2-0 series lead will have the Sixers in an insurmountable hole going back to Philadelphia. 

Even if the teams split the first two games in Boston, lack of experience will soon catch up to Jrue Holiday and company. Boston has been there ...
