Chris Paul would turn the Knicks into instant title contenders.

He's the league's premier point guard, and he would turn the New York's power duo of Carmelo Anthony and Amar'e Stoudamire into a power trio that rivals the Heat's "Big 3."

 

Offensive Firepower

Paul would bring a consistent scorer to the Knicks' backcourt. He can put the ball in the bucket in a myriad of ways.

Paul can hit threes. He shot 39 percent from distance last season. He can also blow by defenders on his way to the hoop for easy buckets.

Offensive Diversity

In an age when many point guards look to get their points first Paul is a throwback. He's still a classic pass-first player. This would be invaluable to the Knicks' offense. He averaged 9.8 assists per game last season.

He would create easy buckets for Stoudamire down low and open looks for Anthony. This would also allow Melo to spend less time with the ball in his hands and more time finding ways to get open.
