As most know, the Michael Beasley project is done. The Miami Heat chose to venture down another road after they locked up All-Star Chris Bosh during this summer’s free agency. With Bosh’s acquisition the Heat felt they no longer needed the services of the team’s second leading scorer for the past two seasons.
Many people outside the organization often speculated that Beasley and Wade didn’t get along or see eye to eye. A lot of fans also felt that way. These sentiments were odd because neither Wade nor Beasley ever stated that there was any kind of rift.
The speculations often came when those on the outside looking in felt there were times Wade should have took on a more protective role of the kid when he was placed under heavy criticism. Instead, Wade would often agree with what many said.
To Beasley’s credit, he never fed into it. He always maintained a respectful attitude and agreed with whatever assertions Wade stated publicly. His sentiments even carried over once he got traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
