New Orleans Hornets Making Progress

The New Orleans Hornets most recently acquired forward Trevor Ariza and guard Marco Bellinelli in a multi-team deal. The deal sent guard Darren Collison and forward James Posey to the Pacers and forward Julian Wright to the Raptors. As I have read on this site, many are unhappy with the trade, but this trade actually worked out for the better for the Hornets.

Though some people believe that losing Darren Collison is absolutely disastrous, Chris Paul is still the point guard right now for the Hornets. Players on the team will step up and play well. Marcus Thornton show he can play point guard last year when Paul was injured. Collison is a good player and will be missed by the Hornets.

Losing Collison is not absolutely terrible. Neither is losing James Posey and Julian Wright.

Posey is 33-years-old and closing in on retirement. He played well during the season and mad several big shots. However, he was not able to contribute to the Hornets in the manner that they were hoping for.

Julian Wright did not contribute well either. He was an inside scorer who sporadically made a jumper. He was an okay defender and a horrible ba ...
