Paul Pierce’s Blog Is Like Mayo

I have mixed feelings about Paul Pierce blogging.  It’s like when you ask for no mayo on a Wendy’s spicy chicken sandwich but it comes slathered in the disgustingness that is egg whites fermented by the sun. 

Ok, maybe that’s not how it’s made but it’s still disgusting. 

At any rate, you are pumped to have that sandwich but that mayo is something you didn’t ask for and have to scrape off with a napkin before you can eat.  That’s how I feel with Pierce.

Paul is by far my favorite player.  I was young when I saw Bird, McHale, and Parrish play and they were already past their primes.  Pierce and Antoine Walker were my guys that I watched play every day.  I don’t know a kid on the court that didn’t do the ‘Toine shimmy after a bucket.  I was down with Pierce’s grittiness and the fact that he wasn’t going to blow you away with speed, but he always got to where he wanted to go.

I feel like if Paul were to write a book I would be one of the first to pre-order it.  After he’s done playing.
