New York Knicks President Donnie Walsh summed it up perfectly when he said that although Allen Iverson is a terrific player his team is going in a different direction, and he hopes that he is able to land with a team that could use him.
Coach Mike D'antoni echoed those sentiments saying that Iverson would take away minutes from his younger players who are still in their developmental stage.
For the record, that's two of the worst teams in the NBA that have said that they have no discernible need for Allen Iverson's talents. That makes me wonder, can anyone in the league use Iverson, and more importantly, why do we care?
If the Knicks, who put the d in dysfunctional, don't want you and the Memphis Grizzlies cut you loose, who in their right mind is going to be willing to take a chance on you?
Throw in the Charlotte Bobcats and that's a grand total of three horrible teams that won't touch Iverson and their excuses are basically mirror images of each other.
