Preseason Or Not, Be Pumped For Bulls Home Opener Against Washington

Start the countdown. 

In less than a week from today, the first tip-off at the United Center will greet the lucky fans who got a hold of tickets to the first Chicago Bulls home game, and entertain those watching the first game on WGN.

Yes, it's a preseason game. 

The nature of those games can downplay the excitement of watching the new and old faces in a Bulls jersey. Don't expect to see Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah, and all that other Jazz play many minutes, nonetheless, at their full potential. 

Preseason games are warm-ups; they're workouts, and for the sake of many, they're for sheer entertainment. 

Oh, and yes, the Bulls are playing the Wizards, who don't really add much to the anticipation. The Charlotte Bobcats might add a tad-bit more hype. Right?

No. 

Actually, Washington will bring plenty of treats to Chicago come October 8.
