Ray Allen: Does Anybody Give a Buck?

Ray Allen—or as many know him, Jesus Shuttlesworth—is currently playing in his second NBA Finals.

Neither of the finals, of course, were with the Milwaukee Bucks. Like Kevin Garnett, he has become a fixture with the Celtics after previously being with another Midwestern team, just like Garnett was with the Timberwolves.

Ray Allen is my favorite player in the league.

I become frustrated every time he misses a jumper, feeling as if he is disproving my belief that he is the best shooter in the league. I always watched him in Milwaukee when I had the chance, and in Seattle.

My question that then came into my mind and relevant for Bucks fans was: Hey, he already left Milwaukee for Seattle, why should I root for him in Boston?

The real troublesome point for me in going against rooting for Allen is that he always plays hard for the team he is on. He makes no attempt to leave the situation he is in.

He was traded for Gary Payton in 2003 in a trade that just never should have taken place. He was traded from Seattle for the sake of making the Sonics worse for draft picks.
