Steve Nash: Suns, Point Guard Ignoring The Trade Talk, But For How Long

Steve Nash has been able to sidestep defenders throughout his whole career. But how much longer can he sidestep the rumors that he is on his way out of Phoenix?

The two-time MVP has been fantastic this year, especially recently. In the last five games, Nash has averaged 14 assists and 17 points as the Suns overcame a 2-5 stretch to pull into second place in the division, behind the Lakers.

And despite the departure of Amare Stoudemire, Nash still directs the league's top scoring team.

Nevertheless, fans and those in the media are quick to point out that the Knicks, and Nash's former head coach Mike D'Antonio's New York actually in the playoff hunt this year, a move will continue to be discussed.

But Nash probably isn't a great fit in Phoenix: he's 36 and Raymond is ten years younger, cheaper, and having a great season: eight assists and 18 points per game.

And since Alvin Genrtry told the press last month "Steve's not going to be traded, that I can tell you. If he's traded, I'm going along with him, OK?" don't expect a deal to happen any time soon.
