Thomas Robinson to Lakers: Latest Contract Details, Comments, Reaction

The Los Angeles Lakers added depth to their frontcourt Wednesday, agreeing to sign power forward Thomas Robinson to a one-year deal, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical.

Eric Pincus of Basketball Insiders added Robinson's contract will be non-guaranteed.

The former No. 5 overall draft pick played in 71 games for the Brooklyn Nets last season, averaging 4.3 points and 5.1 rebounds per contest.

Robinson is already somewhat of a journeyman after only four years in the NBA. After being selected by the Sacramento Kings in the 2012 draft, he played just 51 games before being traded to the Houston Rockets. The next summer he was dealt to the Portland Trail Blazers before being flipped once again to the Denver Nuggets.

After being waived by Denver, he tried to get on with the Philadelphia 76ers and eventually the Nets.

In this stretch he played 265 games (11 starts) while averaging 4.9 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.
