Mozgov Won't Return vs. Milwaukee
Thursday, Nov. 19
Mozgov was diagnosed with a right shoulder strain in the first half, according to Fox Sports Ohio's Sam Amico.
Mozgov landed in Cleveland in a trade last season and helped the Cavs reach the NBA Finals. He is a key part of the frontcourt rotation whose skills allow coach David Blatt a lot of flexibility in his rotation. The 29-year-old is also durable, having missed only one game in the previous two seasons.
The Cavs can't go as big with Mozgov sidelined. What's different this season is Anderson Varejao is healthy, and he provides Cleveland another body on the front line to give opponents different looks.
Beween Varejao and Tristan Thompson, the team has two players who can function well at the 4 or 5 alongside Kevin Love.
