In November, some astute fantasy league owners would have turned their attention to the delayed arrival of one Blake Griffin. Remembering the high flying fearless nature in which he started in the preseason of his initial year, only to be felled by a knee injury, they bided time in the draft collecting the usual suspects.
LeBron: check; Kobe: check; Dwight: check; etc, etc. I suspect that those who drafted Blake at the six or seventh pick must have raised a few eyebrows.
Now that pick looks like a remarkable bit of clairvoyance as the young gun has been quietly turning out the league and raking up accolades and fans everywhere like only Michael Jordan did.
