Three games to look forward to on Boxing Day, none of them particularly scintillating match-ups. But football is football, and what better way to kick off your Saturday than watching titans Ohio and Marshall throw down in an epic showdown.

Why watch?: Frank Solich fell off the football map somewhat after he was fired (somewhat ludicrously) after a 9-3 season at Nebraska. Since then, though, he has done a good job constructing a solid program at Ohio, where he must compete for recruits and attention with the likes of Ohio State. Bobcats quarterback Theo Scott has passed for over 2,200 yards in his senior season.



Why not to watch: Aside from the potentially endless pizza ads, Marshall just isn't that good. Their head coach resigned at the end of the season following an extremely underwhelming 6-6 campaign (good enough to  finish fourth in the C-USA East). Ohio vs. Marshall seems to be a perfect argument for how the bowl system has grown far too large. A contest in Detroit between MAC and C-USA teams is not exactly good television.
