Toronto Raptors: Reggie Evans Fractures Foot

Reggie Evans has suffered a fracture in his right foot and is expected to miss the next 4-8 weeks.

The official diagnosis as far as timetable has not been released but speaking as someone recovering from a fracture himself this is the timetable Raptor fans are probably looking at for a full strength return to action.

This is a crushing blow to the Raptors who lose one of their leaders and the heart and soul of the Raptors defense.

Reggie Evans has emerged as an emotional leader on the court and as a vocal leader of the court and has transformed into the proverbial glue guy that the Raptors have needed since Jorge Garbajosa and Charles Oakley.

His leadership and defense will be missed more than his stats.

Amir Johnson will move into the starting lineup but coach Jay Triano also mentioned that both Linas Kleiza and Peja Stojakovic would get some minutes at the four, and that it would be Joey Dorsey who is looked upon and expected to replicate Reggie Evans’ rebounding numbers.
