Kidd's three-pointer came on the tail end of his best shooting night of the year, scoring 18 points on six-of-eight shooting from the three-point line.
Not only did Kidd knock down the shot, but he got the foul call tacked on to the end of it, but he would ultimately miss the free throw.
After the call, Jeff Van Gundy went off on a rant saying the shot should have resulted in an offensive foul, or at the very least a no-call, as Kidd stuck his foot out at the end of the shot to draw the foul.
Regardless, Kidd ended up hitting the shot, Brooklyn got the ball back and were only able to find themselves with a few attempts at the tie on the other end as both Gerald Wallace and Deron Williams failed to knock down game winning three-pointers, despite a few decent looks.
