Washington Wizards: The Backlash from Gilbert Arenas’ “Generous Offer”

Wizards G Gilbert Arenas faked a knee injury to help backup G Nick Young. Young was expressing his frustration on not getting enough time playing, so Arenas, the All-Star guard, faked a knee injury, and Young got more playing time.

But, as Gilbert had to be Gilbert, he told the media he was faking the knee injury. Now, backlash ensues. 

Arenas, in a meaningless preseason game, suffered a real injury, a pulled or strained hamstring, in a game versus the Milwaukee Bucks. Now, as G Nick Young gets more playing time, Arenas is hurt again. He now has to face the backlash. As the Wizards are still playing behind their No. 1 draft pick, John Wall, they are behind their most famous and infamous player (at the moment). 

Now, I am sure that EVERY NBA player wants to earn their own way on to the court, so we can only speculate as to how Young is feeling. Maybe he is flattered by Arenas' "selfless" actions, or perhaps insulted that Arenas had to fake a knee injury to get into a game.
