These aging NBA players better check themselves before they wreck themselves. Despite long and productive careers, it’s time to face facts and hang up the sneakers for the final time.
In some cases, these are guys who have already hung on for a few too many years. Instead of being reliable starters and/or stars like they were in the past, they’re now unable to even get playing time. When they do actually get some minutes, the results aren’t pretty.
For others, 2012 was kind enough to them. However, the clock continues to tick and the tank will be out of gas by next season.
Rather than trying to hold on for another year or two, why not go out on top with dignity?
