2012 NBA Free Agency has created plenty of new rosters and intrigue, but none more exciting than the fresh backcourts of the Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Lakers.

So, which pair would you rather have: Joe Johnson and Deron Williams for the Nets, or Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash for the Lakers?

NBA Featured Columnist Joel C. Cordes and NBA Assistant Editor Ethan Norof debate the pros and cons of the NBA’s newest star-guard pairings.

Bryant and Nash have the experience, but Williams and Johnson are much more physically imposing.

The Lakers’ duo was better in every major category except steals last year, yet the Nets' pairing doesn’t have the mileage or health risks. 

One can expect Brooklyn’s backcourt stats to jump significantly, now that both players have a real roster around them and compatible games. On the other hand, Kobe and Nash have been Hall of Famers while NEVER yet playing with a star guard partner.
