Why Kevin Durant is the 2010 NBA MVP, Period

LeBron looks like the favorite to win the 2010 NBA MVP, but he doesn't deserve it as much as Kevin Durant.

Durant is averaging 29.6 points per game in the 2010 season, and has 7.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game. He is also a pretty good defender, and a very good all-around player.

Durant had a nice streak going; he scored at least 25 points in 29 straight games. That is just amazing for such a young player in the NBA.

Not to take away from LeBron James, I just think Durant is more deserving of the title.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are looked at as the joke of the National Basketball Association, and Durant has turned them around this season. Without Durant, this team would still be looked at as an automatic win for opponents.

Now the Thunder are looking at a spot in the playoffs so far, sitting at No. 6 in the Western Conference. Not a lot of people expected them to go over .500, never mind make the playoffs.

Oklahoma City has a shocking record of 38 wins and 24 losses, thanks in large part to Kevin Durant, who is the glue to the franchise.
