10 Venues Where NHL Fans Want To See The Winter Classic Held

Written By: Mark “The Hard Hitter” Ritter The Bridgestone Winter Classic is just weeks away, an event that will see the Philadelphia Flyers and the Boston Bruins play outdoors at historic Fenway Park in Boston. Last week I had a chance to conduct a brief interview with former NHL star and current NBC analyst, Ed Olczyk. One of the comments he made was that he felt the Winter Classic should continue to be held in premium/historic venues and I for one couldn’t agree more. Thus far, we have witnessed some of the most beloved franchises in NHL history play at some very impressive venues. Last years tilt between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Detroit Red Wings held at historic Wrigley Field in Chicago was probably my favorite event as it showcased the up and coming Blackhawks versus the veteran laden Red Wings, two of the NHL’s most entertaining franchises. I think when we talk about the Winter Classic it is important for the NHL to consider the teams that will be involved.
