Corey Crawford Injury: Updates on Blackhawks Goalie’s Status and Return

The Chicago Blackhawks suffered a setback this week as goalie Corey Crawford will be out for a few weeks with a lower-body injury.

Crawford was forced to leave early in the team's game against the Florida Panthers, according to the Associated Press, via USA Today. At the time, head coach Joel Quenneville said, "I don't think it's too serious."

Unfortunately, that early prognostication turned out to be wrong, as the talented goalie will now be off the ice for about three weeks, according to Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune:

Chicago currently leads the league with 47 points (tied with Anaheim), and Crawford individually was tied with Pittsburgh's Marc-Andre Fleury for the most wins at 17.
