Remember that horrible show on MTV, NEXT? Well, that's what I'll be saying tonight when the Blueshirts square off against their Nassau County rivals, the Islanders.
Instead of seeing how long I can fake-enjoy myself with a terrible date (the Rangers-Islanders game) tonight, I'd rather push the channel and go to something that will actually be enjoyable.
For those of you that have the NHL Network, which most people have nowadays whether they realize it or not, should tune in to the Pittsburgh-Washington game.
Not only will you see two teams that are actually relevant in the NHL, other than tanking it out for draft positions, but you will see a rivalry that has fire to it.
Watching the seven-game series last season between the Caps and Pens was one of the best series I have watched in quite some time.
What else could you ask for in a late-season game than what the Penguins and Capitals have to offer tonight?
Going into tonight's game, the Caps hold a 2-0 advantage on the season series with the Penguins.
