Big-time rumors are flying around right now, so I am not going to waste anytime and will dive right in.
Willie Mitchell is generating a lot of interest from the Sharks, Capitals, and believe it or not, the Canucks. I think he would be a good fit in all three places and if he does indeed sign in Vancouver that likely means Kevin Bieksa is gone.
Like I suggested a few days ago, the Oilers are very interested in Niemi, but they will likely have to move a goalie first, or place one on waivers. I personally think Niemi and his Stanley Cup experience would be a great fit for the very young (but talented) Oilers team. The Sharks and Islanders also appear very interested.
There are two solid offers for Tomas Kaberle on Brian Burke's table right now. However, because it is not exactly what he is looking for, Brian Burke will continue to wait until he gets what he wants. I personally think he will move Kaberle for the best offer by August 15th, as they have no use for all of those NHL defenseman.
