NHL: Philadelphia Flyers Head into All-Star Break on a Hot Streak

If you haven’t been watching the Philadelphia Flyers lately, you might want to because you’re missing one of the finest seasons in recent memory.

Thanks to Paul Holmgren and Peter Laviolette, the Flyers are heading into the All-Star break having won 10 of their last 12 games and outscoring their opponents 46-28 in the process.

They are an Eastern Conference best 33-12-5 and lead the entire NHL with 71 points.

Yeah, I know the Penguins and Lightning are in our conference, but the Flyers are younger, deeper and in my opinion, better coached than both of them.

We have three lines that can score and a forth line that is pretty good too. We are on pace to have eight 20-goal scorers and potentially five 30-goal scorers.

They Flyers' also have a 22-year-old goalie who is pretty damn good and will only get better; Bobrovsky has a respectable .920 save percentage and a 1.79 goals against average in his last five games—all wins.

I know, I know, there is a lot of hockey left to play, but considering how deep this team is, it looks like another deep playoff run is in the works.
