P.K. Subban Injury: Updates on Canadiens Star’s Status and Return

Montreal Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban was forced from a March 10 game against the Buffalo Sabres after colliding with teammate Alexei Emelin. Subban left on a stretcher and was taken to a hospital for further observation. It is uncertain when he will be able to return to action.

Subban Out for Next 2 Games Monday, March 14 Canadiens head coach Michel Therrien told reporters that Subban will miss games against the Florida Panthers and Buffalo Sabres.

Subban Comments on Status Friday, March 11

Subban Released from Hospital Friday, March 11 Dave Stubbs of NHL.com reported Subban left the hospital late Thursday night, having suffered a "non-serious neck injury." 

Subban Stretchered Off  Thursday, March 10  According to Sportsnet's David Amber, Subban was lying on the ice "for a few minutes after taking a hit to the head" from Emelin. 

The team announced Subban was taken to the hospital for further testing on his neck but had "normal movement" in his extremities.
