Toronto Maple Leafs Off-Season: Patrick Marleau?

As the season comes to an end, many ask the question, who will the Leafs sign in hope to make the Stanley Cup Playoffs?

I've checked many prospective candidates, and came to a conclusion that Patrick Marleau would fit the bill.

Patrick Marleau is 29 years old. He's got a lot of leadership and scoring ability. He would fit perfectly in the lineup beside Kessel and Bozak.

His scoring touch as well with his playmaking abilties will help Kessel flourish into a 50 goal scorer.

Furthermore, his grit and bone crushing body checks would elevate the teams game play in every aspect of the game.

My only question is how much would he cost our organization? Do we keep him for the long haul or do we sign him for a few years?

What do you guys think? Is Marleau the player the Leafs need to make it to the post season?

Or do we go a different direction?
